Le Provençal has been thriving in Coral Gables since 1988.

In 1978, Chef Terrou began his culinary career after graduating from the Souillac Culinary School.

He worked at the Michelin one star La Ferme de Mougins in Cannes, Le Grand Hotel in Souillac where he trained interns from the Souillac Culinary School. He later developed his own Foie Gras recipes at the Rougie Foie-Gras in Sarlat France, where the world’s finest Foie Gras is created.

Le Provençal offers this rare treat which does not compare with locally made Foie Gras here in the United States. Before arriving in Miami in 1998, Chef Terrou worked at the Hilton in Bogota, Colombia and was recruited to work at the renowned five star Le Festival Restaurant in Coral Gables. In 1999 he was awarded the American Academy of Hospitality Science’s Five Star Diamond Award, as one of the best Chefs in the World.

However, he never lost his love and passion for Provençal French Cuisine and ultimately made the move to Le Provençal in 2002 .
