About US

Le Provencal has been thriving in Coral Gables since 1988.

Le Provencal Restaurant has been thriving in Coral Gables since 1988.
Trained at The Frederic Mistral Culinary Institute of Marseille in 1977 Chef Antoniotti began his career as an intern at the 3 star Hotel Restaurant Le Provencal in Cassis. His career has continued with the 4 star Hotel Cachette et Pierre Blanche Les Arcs 1600 in Haute Savoie, followed by the Hotel Cresta Kulm in St-Moritz, Switzerland. The Chef was lured to London to work at Monsieur Thompson’s French Restaurant in Notting-Hill followed by La Brasserie St Quentin on Old Brompton Road. Chef Antoniotti came to Miami in 1984 and went to work for Chef Maurice which became Le Provencal Restaurant in 1988. Chef Antoniotti infuses every dish he creates with his culinary expertise and passion for Provence.

In 1978, Chef Terrou began his culinary career after graduating from the Souillac Culinary School. He worked at the Michelin one star La Ferme de Mougins in Cannes, Le Grand Hotel in Souillac where he trained interns from the Souillac Culinary School. He later developed his own Foie Gras recipes at the Rougie Foie-Gras in Sarlat France, where the worlds finest Foie Gras is created. Le Provencal offers this rare treat which does not compare with locally made Foie Gras here in the United States. Before arriving in Miami in 1998, Chef Terrou worked at the Hilton in Bogota, Colombia and was recruited to work at the renown five star Le Festival Restaurant in Coral Gables. In 1999 he was awarded the American Academy of Hospitality Science’s Five Star Diamond Award, as one of the best Chefs in the World. However, he never lost his love and passion for Provencal French Cuisine and ultimately made the move to Le Provencal in 2002 .

Chef Antoniotti, Chef Terrou and president and manager Ms.France Guillou opened the doors of Le Provencal Restaurant at its new location in July of 2009.

Diners agree that Le Provencal in Coral Gables has the best southern French cuisine. • we've been going here for forever. service has always been excellent. staff is friendly, food is awesome. never had to wait for a table. as soon as we sit, waiter is serving water, hot french baguette and the most delicious compliment of the chef ( for dinner ). Oignons soup w cheese and snails are totally a must. A experience that you will not forget .

  • During an impromptu visit to the Mile the other night we decided to have dinner and checked to see if Le Provencal, had an available table. Wanting to try the new location we were hopeful but skeptical that we could get a table. Greeting us with a warm smile and a big hello was the always gracious and beautiful France, the owner. Believing our drop-in would be met with "I'm so sorry we have no room at the moment...â? instead she grabbed our arms and took us to a lovely table outside. We were quickly greeted by Dimi. A terrific menu Dimi helped me settle on the Shrimp Fricassee and the Escargot as an appetizer and and for my lovely companion the Sea Bass with the French Onion Soup. We had a bottle of Brouilly. There would have been plenty to share! The food, service and ambience was just perfect to an otherwise ordinary evening. What a wonderful treat.

  • Since we've spent most summers in Provence/Côte d'azur, we always found the food at Le Procençal to be the most satisfying and true taste of southern France. My son finds les'escargot his favorite starter dish and one should also try the Pâte de Maison as well as the French onion soup.

  • As a former Provence tourism in France , this restaurant is by far the best French typical place in Coral Gables, even in Miami. First, the decoration is unique and ambiance totally a must. Food quality and choices on the menu are incredible. French oignon soup and the snails garlic butter as to be on your choices. very good quality for the price and five star services.
